Two workers were killed and one sustained injuries following a compressor blast at a factory in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on May 16, 2024. The incident occurred at the Supertech factory located in the industrial area of Loni.
The deceased have been identified as Satish Kumar and Ravi, both residents of Bihar. The injured worker, identified as Bablu, is undergoing treatment at a local hospital and his condition is reported to be stable.
Police reported receiving information about the blast around 10:30 AM. Preliminary investigations suggest the explosion was caused by a malfunction in a high-pressure compressor used in the factory. The compressor reportedly burst during operation, leading to the fatalities and injury.
A team from the Loni police station rushed to the site and initiated an investigation. Forensic teams were also deployed to examine the scene and determine the exact cause of the blast. Factory operations were temporarily halted following the incident.
