Kerala Blockchain Academy, IIM Lucknow partner to boost blockchain innovation ecosystem

Kerala Blockchain Academy (KBA) and Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow) have partnered to strengthen the blockchain innovation ecosystem in Kerala. The collaboration aims to combine KBA’s technical expertise in blockchain with IIM Lucknow’s management and entrepreneurial skills.

The partnership will focus on several key areas including joint research, executive education programs, and incubation support for blockchain startups. A key initiative is the launch of a Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Blockchain and FinTech, designed for working professionals. This program will be jointly developed and delivered, leveraging the strengths of both institutions.

IIM Lucknow will contribute its expertise in finance, marketing, and strategy to help blockchain startups navigate the business landscape and scale their operations. KBA will provide the technical foundation in blockchain technologies. The collaboration intends to bridge the gap between technological innovation and market application.

The initiative is expected to foster a skilled workforce capable of driving blockchain adoption across various sectors. Kerala aims to become a leading blockchain hub, and this partnership is a significant step towards achieving that goal. The program will also focus on identifying and nurturing promising blockchain startups in Kerala, providing them with mentorship, funding opportunities, and access to a wider network.

The partnership will also explore the potential of blockchain in areas like supply chain management, healthcare, and governance. Both institutions will work together to create a conducive environment for blockchain innovation and entrepreneurship in the state. The collaboration is supported by the Kerala government’s objective to position the state as a knowledge economy and a global destination for emerging technologies. The ultimate goal is to create a self-sustaining blockchain ecosystem that drives economic growth and social impact.
