Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, Member of Parliament representing Mahabubnagar, has strongly refuted allegations made by BJP State president G. Kishan Reddy regarding Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s alleged connections to criminal elements. Reddy countered these claims, asserting they were baseless and politically motivated, intended to deflect from the BJP’s own shortcomings.
He specifically addressed Kishan Reddy’s statements linking Revanth Reddy to individuals with criminal records, stating that these accusations were fabricated and lacked evidence. Chamala pointed out that similar allegations were previously made during the election period and were thoroughly investigated by central agencies, resulting in no conclusive proof. He accused Kishan Reddy of repeating discredited narratives.
Chamala further criticized the BJP for its perceived failures in fulfilling promises made to Telangana, particularly regarding railway projects and financial assistance. He highlighted the delayed completion of the Mahabubnagar-Kachiguda railway line and the lack of adequate funds allocated for the state’s development. He argued that the BJP was attempting to divert public attention from its own performance by launching personal attacks on the Chief Minister.
He questioned the timing of Kishan Reddy’s statements, suggesting they were a deliberate attempt to undermine the Congress government’s credibility. Chamala emphasized Revanth Reddy’s commitment to good governance and development, contrasting it with what he described as the BJP’s history of broken promises and ineffective policies.
The MP challenged Kishan Reddy to provide concrete evidence to support his claims, stating that mere accusations without substantiation were irresponsible and damaging to the political discourse. He reiterated his confidence in Revanth Reddy’s leadership and the Congress government’s ability to deliver on its promises to the people of Telangana. He concluded by accusing the BJP of engaging in a smear campaign driven by political vendetta.
