An IPL Fan Park will be established in Hubballi on May 18th and 19th, coinciding with the match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The event is organized by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) in association with Star Sports.
The Fan Park will be located at the Railway Grounds in Hubballi and is free for all IPL fans. It aims to provide a stadium-like atmosphere for those unable to attend the live match in Bengaluru.
Facilities at the Fan Park will include a large LED screen for live match viewing, food stalls offering various cuisines, and dedicated zones for games and entertainment. Organizers anticipate a large turnout, expecting to accommodate thousands of fans.
KSCA Secretary, Rajesh Singhal, highlighted the initiative as a way to bring the excitement of the IPL closer to fans in North Karnataka. He stated the event is designed to create a festive and engaging experience for cricket enthusiasts.
Security arrangements are in place to ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the event. Local authorities are collaborating with KSCA to manage crowds and maintain order.
The Fan Park is expected to boost local businesses through increased footfall and economic activity. It represents a community-focused effort to celebrate the IPL and promote cricket in the region.
