G. Lakshman promoted as ADGP, assumes charge as KPHCC MD

G. Lakshman has been promoted to the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) and assumed charge as the Managing Director (MD) of the Kerala Police Housing and Construction Corporation (KPHCC). He was previously serving as the Transport Commissioner.

Lakshman is a 1999 batch IPS officer. Prior to his role as Transport Commissioner, he held various significant positions including Kochi City Police Commissioner, and served in the Intelligence wing. He also has experience in various districts as a Superintendent of Police.

The KPHCC is responsible for constructing residential buildings for police personnel and undertaking infrastructure projects related to the police department. Lakshman’s appointment as MD is expected to bring further efficiency and progress to the corporation’s ongoing and future projects.

He took charge at the KPHCC headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram. The promotion and new assignment are considered a recognition of his dedicated service and effective leadership within the Kerala Police force. Lakshman’s experience in diverse roles within law enforcement is anticipated to be valuable in overseeing the KPHCC’s operations and contributing to the welfare of police personnel through improved housing and infrastructure.

The KPHCC plays a crucial role in addressing the housing needs of the police force across Kerala, and Lakshman’s leadership will be focused on timely completion of projects and maintaining quality standards. His previous role as Transport Commissioner involved implementing road safety measures and streamlining transportation systems, skills that could potentially be applied to project management within the KPHCC.
