Tamil Nadu people have endorsed coalition government: VCK’s Thirumavalavan

Thirumavalavan, leader of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), asserts that the recent Tamil Nadu election results demonstrate public endorsement of the Dravidian model of governance and the coalition led by the DMK. He attributes the DMK-led alliance’s clean sweep of all 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu to the effective implementation of social justice policies and the government’s responsiveness to the needs of the people.

He specifically highlights the success of schemes like the Kalaignar Maghalir Urimai Thittam (women’s rights scheme) and the overall focus on social welfare as key factors in securing the overwhelming victory. Thirumavalavan believes these initiatives resonated deeply with voters, particularly women and marginalized communities.

The VCK leader dismisses claims that the election outcome was solely due to anti-BJP sentiment, arguing that it was a positive affirmation of the Dravidian model and the performance of the state government. He emphasizes that the people actively chose the DMK-led coalition, rather than simply voting against the BJP.

Thirumavalavan criticizes the BJP’s attempts to gain a foothold in Tamil Nadu, stating that their divisive politics and disregard for social justice principles were rejected by the electorate. He points to the BJP’s poor performance in the state as evidence of this rejection.

He also acknowledges the role of the INDIA bloc in challenging the BJP at the national level, but reiterates that the Tamil Nadu results were primarily a state-specific endorsement of the ruling coalition. He views the victory as a mandate for continuing the current path of social justice and inclusive governance in Tamil Nadu.

Finally, Thirumavalavan expresses confidence that the DMK government will continue to prioritize the welfare of all sections of society and uphold the principles of social justice. He anticipates further progress and development under the continued leadership of the DMK-led alliance.
