Anand Kumar, founder of Super 30, has launched “Super Infinity,” a new initiative aimed at providing free coaching to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds preparing for the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) and JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) exams.
Super Infinity differs from Super 30, which focused solely on IIT-JEE aspirants. This new program expands the scope to include medical entrance coaching alongside engineering. The initiative will initially accommodate 30 students, mirroring the original Super 30 model, with plans for potential expansion based on resource availability.
The program is being launched in Patna, Bihar, and will select students through a rigorous screening process based on merit and financial need. Kumar emphasized that the selection will prioritize students from families with annual incomes below ₹2 lakh.
Super Infinity will offer comprehensive classroom coaching, study materials, and mock tests, all free of charge. The curriculum will be designed to cover the NEET and JEE syllabi thoroughly. Kumar stated the aim is to provide a level playing field for talented students who lack the financial means to afford expensive coaching.
The launch comes after a period where Super 30 faced challenges, including disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic and a shift towards online learning. Kumar acknowledged these difficulties but expressed optimism about Super Infinity’s potential to reach a wider range of students.
He highlighted the increasing competition for seats in both engineering and medical colleges, making quality coaching even more crucial for success. Super Infinity seeks to address this need by providing accessible and effective preparation to deserving students. The initiative is supported by donations and aims to be self-sustaining in the long run. Kumar intends to involve successful alumni of Super 30 in mentoring and guiding students at Super Infinity.
