Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Babu will launch 168 development works totaling ₹17 crore on May 15th across the Nellore Rural constituency. These projects encompass various sectors including roads, drainage, drinking water supply, and education.
A significant portion of the funds, approximately ₹8.5 crore, is allocated for the construction and improvement of roads, aiming to enhance connectivity within the constituency. ₹4.5 crore will be spent on improving the drinking water supply infrastructure, addressing a crucial need for residents. Another ₹2.5 crore is earmarked for drainage systems to mitigate waterlogging issues, particularly during the monsoon season.
The MLA intends to initiate 30 works related to education, including improvements to school buildings and facilities, with an investment of ₹1.5 crore. These educational upgrades are designed to provide a better learning environment for students.
The launch event is scheduled to take place at various locations throughout the constituency, with the MLA planning to visit multiple villages to formally begin the projects. He stated the projects were identified based on the needs expressed by villagers during his recent outreach programs and interactions with local representatives.
Sridhar Babu emphasized his commitment to prioritizing public needs and ensuring transparent implementation of these development initiatives. He also highlighted the importance of community participation in the successful completion of these projects. He aims to complete the majority of these works before the upcoming monsoon season to minimize disruption and maximize benefit to the public. The MLA’s office has indicated that regular monitoring will be conducted to ensure quality and timely completion of all 168 projects. The initiative is presented as a fulfillment of promises made during the election campaign and a step towards overall development of the Nellore Rural constituency.
