## West Bengal Class 10 Exam Results – Summary

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) announced the results of the Class 10 (Madhyamik) examinations on May 24, 2024.

**Overall Pass Rate:** 86.60%

**Total Number of Students:** 9,47,171 appeared for the examination.

**Number of Students Passed:** 819,219 students passed the examination.

**Top Performing District:** Purba Bardhaman district achieved the highest pass percentage at 97.95%.

**Lowest Performing District:** Kolkata district recorded the lowest pass percentage at 78.89%.

**Girls’ Performance:** Girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 89.26%.

**Boys’ Performance:** Boys achieved a pass percentage of 84.01%.

**Top Rank – All India Level:**
* First Rank: Debanjana Paul from Gitanjali Vidyapeeth, Krishna Nagar, North 24 Parganas – 700 marks
* Second Rank: Soumyajit Das from Hemnagar Ajijul Haque Memorial High School, North 24 Parganas – 699 marks
* Third Rank: Pritam Das from Ghoshpara High School, North 24 Parganas and Sneha Ghosh from Barasat Girls’ High School, North 24 Parganas – 698 marks

**Number of Students Scoring 90% or Above:** 49,584 students secured marks of 90% or more.

**Number of Students Scoring 70% or Above:** 1,89,133 students achieved marks of 70% or above.

**Results Access:** Results are available on the official WBBSE website – wbresults.nic.in, and also through SMS and other specified platforms.

**Examination Dates:** The Madhyamik examinations were held from February 2 to February 12, 2024.
