BJP State chief P.V.N. Madhav asks party cadre to stay among public, work for welfare

Andhra Pradesh BJP state president P.V.N. Madhav has urged party workers to prioritize consistent engagement with the public and focus on welfare activities, particularly in the lead-up to the upcoming elections. He emphasized the need to move beyond traditional election-time campaigning and establish a continuous presence within communities.

Madhav addressed a meeting of district presidents, general secretaries, and key functionaries in Guntur, outlining a strategy centered on grassroots-level connection. He directed workers to spend at least two days each month directly interacting with citizens, understanding their concerns, and contributing to local welfare initiatives.

The focus areas for welfare work include supporting the poor, assisting farmers, and promoting education. Madhav specifically instructed party members to actively participate in initiatives like blood donation camps, health check-ups, and environmental protection drives. He stressed that these activities should not be viewed as mere publicity stunts but as genuine efforts to serve the people.

He criticized the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government, alleging failures in fulfilling promises made during the previous election and accusing them of corruption. He called for exposing these alleged failures to the public. Madhav also targeted the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP), claiming it is losing its relevance and that many of its leaders are considering joining the BJP.

The BJP aims to strengthen its organizational structure at the booth level, with a goal of having dedicated workers in every polling booth across the state. Madhav highlighted the importance of utilizing social media effectively to disseminate information about the party’s policies and activities, and to counter what he termed as misinformation spread by opponents. He encouraged workers to actively participate in the Modi government’s welfare schemes and ensure their benefits reach eligible beneficiaries. The overall strategy is geared towards building a strong organizational base and improving the BJP’s electoral prospects in Andhra Pradesh.
