## Tamil Nadu Class 12 Results 2024 – Summary

Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Examination (Class 12) results for 2024 were released on May 6th, 2024.

**Overall Pass Percentage:** 94.8% – a slight decrease from 94.9% in 2023.

**Girls Outperformed Boys:** Girls recorded a pass percentage of 96.38% compared to boys’ 93.32%.

**District Toppers:** Ramanathapuram district achieved the highest pass percentage at 97.46%.

**Subject-wise Performance:**

* **Language Subjects:** Students generally performed well in language subjects.
* **Mathematics:** Pass percentage in Mathematics was 93.02%.
* **Science:** Pass percentage in Science was 95.53%.
* **Social Science:** Pass percentage in Social Science was 95.67%.
* **Commerce:** Pass percentage in Commerce was 96.39%.

**Number of Students:** A total of 8,00,861 students appeared for the examination. 7,59,194 students have passed.

**Top Performers:** 143 students scored perfect scores (600/600).

**Re-totalling/Re-valuation:** Students desiring re-totalling or re-valuation can apply through the respective websites from May 6th to May 12th, 2024. Application fees apply.

**Supplementary Exams:** Supplementary exams will be conducted in July 2024 for students who did not pass. Details regarding dates and application procedures will be announced later.
