Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Telangana BJP president, criticized both the Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) while attributing Telangana’s development primarily to the central government’s support. Addressing a public meeting in Karimnagar, he asserted that projects like the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation scheme were substantially funded by the Centre. He claimed the BRS government merely repackaged central schemes under new names, misleading the public.
Sanjay accused the BRS of failing to fulfill its promises regarding employment opportunities for youth and agricultural assistance. He highlighted alleged corruption within the BRS government, specifically referencing the alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project and the Dharani portal (land records system). He further stated that the BRS and Congress are colluding to obstruct the BJP’s growth in the state.
He targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, questioning its impact on Telangana. Sanjay alleged that the Congress is attempting to appease minorities and is anti-Hindu. He also criticized the Congress’s stance on issues like the Ram Temple and Article 370.
Sanjay emphasized the BJP’s commitment to Hindutva and national security. He reiterated the party’s promise to abolish religious reservations if elected to power in Telangana. He also vowed to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and conduct a comprehensive investigation into alleged corruption during the previous regimes.
He called for a change in Telangana’s political landscape, urging voters to support the BJP to ensure good governance and development. He predicted a significant victory for the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections, claiming the public is disillusioned with both the BRS and Congress. He also spoke about the need to develop Karimnagar as a modern city and improve infrastructure.
