CM to visit Mysuru on Wednesday

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will visit Mysuru on Wednesday, February 7th, to review ongoing development projects and address public grievances. This is his first visit to the city since assuming office in May 2023.

The primary focus of the visit is a review of the ongoing work on the Mysuru City Development Project (MCDP), a comprehensive initiative aimed at improving infrastructure and urban amenities. Specifically, he will inspect the progress of the construction of the new integrated bus terminal at the Outskirts of Mysuru, a key component of the MCDP intended to alleviate congestion within the city.

He will also review the status of the ongoing work on the flyover at Khadi Circle, another project designed to ease traffic flow. The Chief Minister is expected to receive updates on the implementation of various other projects under the MCDP, including road development, drainage improvements, and the upgrading of public spaces.

Beyond the MCDP, Siddaramaiah will preside over a meeting with elected representatives and officials from Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts. This meeting will serve as a platform to discuss local issues, assess the implementation of government schemes, and address any challenges faced by the administration.

A significant portion of the visit will be dedicated to addressing public grievances. The Chief Minister will receive petitions from the public and hear their concerns directly. This is a standard practice for Siddaramaiah, who prioritizes direct engagement with citizens.

The visit also includes a scheduled meeting with Sri Chamundeshwari MLA G.D. Harish Gowda. This meeting is anticipated to cover local development needs and concerns specific to the Chamundeshwari constituency.

The Chief Minister’s visit is seen as a signal of the government’s commitment to the development of Mysuru, a major tourist and economic hub in Karnataka. The focus on infrastructure projects and public grievance redressal indicates a proactive approach to addressing the city’s needs and improving the quality of life for its residents.
