Air India Cancels Delhi–Paris 787 After Pre‑flight Glitch

Air India has cancelled flight AI 143 (Delhi to Paris) following the discovery of a “mandatory pre‑flight check” issue, with the return flight AI 142 also called off due to operational restrictions at Paris CDG
Passengers have been offered full refunds, complimentary rebookings, and hotel stays as the airline addresses the problem. This cancellation follows a broader pattern—in the last 24 hours, five international Dreamliner services, including AI 915 (Dubai), AI 153 (Vienna), AI 159 (Ahmedabad–London), and AI 170 (London–Amritsar), have been disrupted amid intensified safety checks . The heightened scrutiny is in response to last week’s tragic June 12 crash of AI 171 in Ahmedabad, prompting the DGCA to mandate extensive inspections of Boeing 787s fitted with GE GEnx engines.
